Foreign orders paid by credit card, and domestic credit card orders in which the shipping
address differs from the billing address, require that a photocopy of the card and a
driver's license (or other "official" identification) be faxed, emailed, or
included with the order form. We do not sell to minors - therefore orders
paid by money order require proof of age, ie. copy of driver's license or
birth certificate. And please, e-mail
us any questions you may have -- we want to hear from you!
Our Guarantee and Return Policy
With the following exceptions, any product may be returned for any reason,
if in new condition (including manufacturer's packaging!), for exchange,
credit, or refund, within 30 days of the purchase date.
EXCEPTIONS
Although we cannot guarantee your picking skills, Lock Picks Direct are
warranted again defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30
days. Our E Series Electric picks are warranted for 90 days. This warranty
does not cover abuse or normal wear of the tools. Lock picks may be returned, if
in new condition, for credit to your account toward the purchase of
another product, or for replacement if
defective. Books are not returnable, and video tapes, DVD's and CD's may be returned
for replacement if defective. Orders cancelled after shipping
has occurred will be charged a 20% restocking fee.
Shipping
For our US Customers: We
normally ship by UPS, but have also utilized the Postal Service for
customers with PO Box addresses.
Because the U S Postal Service has failed to honor valid insurance claims
for lost shipments, some as large as $2,100.00, we ask that you use a
physical address that is deliverable by UPS or FedEx. We apologize
for any inconvenience, but the poor business practices of the U S Postal
Service have made this necessary. If a customer requires the use of
a PO Box for delivery, please be aware that lost shipments will result in
at least a 30 day delay before the reshipment of an order can be made.
Priority Mail®
Flat-Rate Envelope $5.25; Flat Rate Box $9.95. Other rates are available up to 70 lbs and are based on weight, size, and distance. For example, a 5-lb package would cost approximately $6.30-$15.85

Cookies
Our shopping cart utilizes a "cookie" for processing an
order, and to allow our customers to easily
place additional orders. Once a customer has placed an order, the
"cookie" speeds along the process of placing additional
orders. By typing in a telephone number, the customer's name and
address information is automatically pulled from our database and
automatically entered into the order page. The "cookie"
gathers no additional information from your system, and no
information is shared, sold, or rented to any other companies. If
your security settings do not allow "cookies" to be sent, you
can still order online by temporarily changing the settings, or simply
place your order by phone.
Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy is simple...we share your information with no one unless ordered to do so through the legal system.
Restrictions
All too often, the virtues of "common sense" fall victim to political expediency
and, one by one, personal freedoms are given up for the promise of public safety. No
weapons may be sent to Massachusetts, period - this includes orders placed by law
enforcement personnel. Certain restrictions also apply to California and New York. Please
check your local laws.
Buyer Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the buyer, and not Lock Picks Direct, to ascertain and obey
all applicable local, state and federal laws in regard to possession and use of any item
ordered. Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely
No Sales To Minors! Therefore, orders paid by money order require proof of
age, ie. copy of driver's license or birth certificate. By placing an order, the buyer asserts that the products ordered will
be used in a lawful manner and that he/she is of legal age. By placing an order for
locksmithing tools, the buyer asserts to be, without fraud or deception, a
